The British Institutes certification programme covers the following examinations:

Being a British Institutes Examination Centre means:
- Sharing the teaching quality standards upheld by the Council of Europe;
- Having a teaching structure that is organised and certified by British Institutes;
- Undertaking to abide by the high quality standards demanded by the BI.
If the British Institutes philosophy appeals to you and if you would like to know more about our organisation, we would be pleased to meet you and discuss the possibility of a mutual opportunity.
Affiliate Programme
- The first step is to contact British Institutes Head Office: enquiries@britishinstitutes.org and request the documentation describing the British Institutes teaching standards, procedures and examinations, as well as the prerequisites for being able to operate as a British Institutes Examination Centre.
- British Institutes will then organise a visit to your facilities in order to establish whether the organisation of the school is able to meet the set quality standards.
- if the facilities prove to be suitable, a series of training sessions will be commenced to train the Director of Studies of the new Examination Centre.
Private schools, state schools and University Language Centres are all potentially eligible to become British Institutes Examination Centres: structures in which the learning of English may be important either for the improving of personal skills and abilities or, alternatively, as a subject set by the Ministerial programmes for Primary and Secondary Schools or for University.
All the British Institutes schools meet twice a year at the British Institutes Convention, occasion in which they can share and reinforce the guidelines of the Group, as well as introduce the new schools to the other British Institutes Examination Centres.
On becoming a British Institutes Examination Centre, the partner-school
- will be entitled to use the British Institutes name and to hold British Institutes examinations
- will have a site dedicated to the Examination Centre
- will receive 5 days of One-to-One training and 3 days of Central training
